Beeswax is the secretory substance of four pairs of wax glands under the abdomen of worker bees. Its main ingredients are: acids, free fatty acids, free fatty alcohols and carbohydrates. Bees use it to build hives, closing honey and young bees.
Beeswax is solid at room temperature. The color of beeswax varies with bee species, processing technology, nectar source, and old and new of the nest and spleen. When making a cream or balm, the addition ratio of beeswax is 2-6%. A piece of 20G beeswax can make 100g of cream.
