What is Trans-Resveratrol?

Resveratrol exists in free state and glycoside under natural conditions. The chemical structure of resveratrol and its glycosides also exists in two isomers, cis and trans, namely cis-resveratrol ( cis-Res), trans-resveratrol (trans-Res), and cis-resveratrol glycosides (cis-PD), trans-resveratrol glycosides (trans-PD). The latter two forms release resveratrol under the action of glycosidase in the intestinal tract. Resveratrol mainly exists in the trans form in plants. Studies have shown that the physiological activity of the trans isomer is stronger than that of the cis isomer;
