What is Liposomal Iron?
Simply put, liposomes are equivalent to a rocket, a carrier that transports ingredients into the cell, then disintegrates and the ingredients are directly absorbed by the cell. Lipid iron is a rocket loaded with iron ions, which transports iron ions directly into the cell. Liposomal iron makes up for the low absorption rate and gastrointestinal irritation of traditional iron preparations. Its unique phospholipid shell can fuse with the cell membrane, directly transporting the encapsulated iron ions into the cell, and then targeted to various parts of the body, while protecting the iron from oxidation during transportation.
In addition, the absorption of liposomal iron is different from that of ordinary iron. Its outer layer of lipids can fuse with the M cells of the small intestine to allow the iron element to directly enter the cell through "endocytosis", and then enter the lymphatic system and directly reach the liver!

Products Function

In a study, 30 post-menopausal females with iron deficiency anaemia (Hb < 11.5 g/dL) who were already been treated with other iron supplements and experiencing side effects, were treated with liposomal iron supplement (microencapsulated iron pyrophosphate in liposomal form). After 8 weeks of supplementation there was a significant rise in Hb and hematocrit levels and the treatment was well tolerated with statistically significant improvement in most of the side effects previously experienced by the patients
 

Experimental studies have shown that liposomal ironcan increase serum iron and liver iron levels faster andmore significantly than traditional oral ironpreparations.An experimental study was conducted to evaluate theefficiency of iron absorption in four groups of rats.These groups received liposomal iron, ferrous sulfate,no ferric pyrophosphate, or control(carboxymethylcellulose 1%)Liposomal iron is 2.7 times and 3.5 times morebioavailable than ferrous sulfate and regular ferricpyrophosphate, respectively
